The launch of the new site is close – I feels it in me bones, I do...

It’s taken far longer than hoped, due to the trials if finding new living situations, computer glitches, and just the usual trials of bouncing from the motor home to café for power and a place to get things done without disturbance.

Seems like little is able to be done without some sort of something taking my attention away, though I try… I never though I would long for the days spent in glorious solitude working on the last site, where I had power, and the computer essentially lived in my lap…

Soon, I feel it. Just a few things to do now before the launch of the new site, and everything will make sense – have a reason again.

The most difficult thing is trying to find people to transcribe the interviews. That is and always has been the largest hurdle – what’s the purpose of doing more interviews if there’s no one to transcribe them? I’ve already got about 5 that need to be transcribed…

One of these days I’ll be able to actually pay someone to do it – it’s difficult to ride people’s asses when they’re doing you a favor, but that is perhaps the most important thing that I need – or at least the one thing that I don’t have the time or skill to do. It’s frustrating to no end. There have been a couple people who have come through though, and to them I am immensely grateful.

It’s been a few months that I’ve been announcing the new Big Top site, & each time it is just around the corner. It’s been just around the corner for a while now, too long, I bow my head and admit – but there are things, small things that most probably wouldn’t notice, that need to be perfect, or as perfect as I can get them, not only in what you see, but in the background as well.
