Finally, a publication is recognizing the recent(ish) explosion of independent circus art as a movement in its own right (rather than a bastardization of “real” circus or an extension of Burning Man culture). Yup, that’s right. I’m talking about Best of the Bay winner Big Top, the online mag dedicated to highlighting, promoting, and supporting indie circus culture... Good show, Big Top, online and in life.

Taylor asked the other night, while we were discussing with whom we would like to be social over my brief break, if we should invite you over to have some dinner with us and maybe a watch movie on DVD. I told him I wasn't sure it was you're thing, dinner and conversation and a movie with us -- in other words, just hanging out and being social. (And a likely crash in our guestroom/office, since we are known for getting our guests stinking drunk.) But I realize it is wrong of me to make that assumption.
